What’s Inside: Quartz, Halogen, and an R7s Base
Inside the quartz envelope, you’ve got a carbon filament surrounded by halogen gas. That halogen cycle keeps the filament stable even at high temperatures, so the heat stays consistent over the life of the tube. The quartz tube is coated to handle UV and to take the thermal shock of cycling on and off. And the termination is R7s—double-ended bayonet. In plain terms: it’s a standard fit, so the lamp drops right in wherever R7s fixtures are used.
