The Nitty-Gritty Details
We use high-purity quartz because these lamps take a beating. They heat up and cool down fast, and cheap glass just can’t handle that kind of stress. Then there are the connectors—usually R7s or Sk15. This is where a lot of “compatible” lamps fail. If the pins are off by even half a millimeter, they won’t seat right. That leads to arcing, sparks, and a lot of frustration. We keep our tolerances tight so the lamp just slides in and locks.No forcing, no fighting with the wiring.
A Quick Tip from the Field
These lamps are designed to blast shortwave infrared energy into the plastic to get it hot, fast. But remember: high heat in a tight space means your cooling blowers have to do some heavy lifting. If your ventilation is clogged with dust, even the best lamp in the world is going to overheat and die early. Keep those blowers clean. At the end of the day, we focus on the physics.
